heehee... tis holidays is really wat i call "Enjoying"! yeahz!!! yesterday i went to Southbank for swimming with my housemates, Huiying and Wee Hong. It is a man-made beach in Brisbane, Brisbane only beach too. is like a big big swimming pool. alot of pple ah. as is now summer. many Aussie like to there for sun tan and enjoy the sunshine while relaxing. so 3 of us oso went to enjoy the sunshine. (until now my shoulders got sunburnt lah. whahaha...) of cos we took some photos lah... here u r...

someting tat i saw on Ivy's & Lian's blog. hmm... seems tat many pple r carrying out the ever well-known and well-liked form of "retail therapy". whahaha... as for me, i oso did a round of retail therapy with my housemates before we all return to Spore and Malaysia respectively.

so off we went.. to the very popular and well-liked shopping paradise, Gold Coast's Harbour Town. is the home for many big and small factory outlets from sports brand to ladies' wear and men's wear. is juz the best shopping area for us students. whahahaha... although is a bit faraway ah. is abt 1 hr plus train ride from Brisbane. so before we start our journey, we took some photos of our excited and happy looks...

arrival @ Harbour Town @ abt 11am and we went for a quick brunch. then there we r, start to go around the different shops to see wat good bargain we can grab. honestly, i am not someone who is into shopping but when there is a need, i will still go around and buy stuff lah. my main motive tis time round is to get wat i need for CNY's new clothes and some gifts to bring home for my buddies in spore ah. hahaha... and tis yr end sales seems very horrible ah... everything really CHEAP! omg!!! Espirt had a really horrible sales with items selling at AUD$15 to $20 only. is really very very cheap ah!!! so there i am, bought a top for myself for only AUD$15 and a kid's top for my cousin for only AUD$8. there r more to go lor... in total i spent quite a lot ah.. heart and wallet very painful now.. hahaha... but at least i got quite a few items for myself as well as others. like wat someone say, in tis way i wun feel tat guilty for spending so much cos i din pamper myself only. haha... wat a way to console myself ah... :P anyway, here r part of our victory items...

our 1st stop is at Freestyle Tout Dessert Cafe. a well-known and popular dessert cafe serving delicious and yummy dessert. cakes, pudding, ice-cream, coffee, iced chocolate... u name it, they have it! before we went today, according to Jael, once u eat the dessert from Freestyle, u will cry... according to Leona, is a sure and MUZ go dessert cafe in Brissy. now according to me after I sample the yummy dessert from Freestyle... "u will simply melt with Freestyle Dessert after eating them..." i am not exaggrating ah!!! is really TRUE. have u eaten a chocolate fudge cake tat is flourless and still feel warm when u put in ur mouth? have u eaten a white cheese cake tat is as soft as beancurd? is all available @ Freestyle... :D

today i made another trip to Brisbane airport. but is not me who is going off. (argh~~!!! okok... i guarantee liao... next time when i go to airport, it is really me who is going home!!! airport is the nearest to our home in spore... so far, yet so near... haiz...)

anyway, today i am off to airport to send my 2 frens cum course mates, Leona and Grace. yeahz! both of them r fresh graduates from UQ. Congratulations, gals!!!

Leona had been my course mate for tis past 1 and a half yr. we r in same classes for almost all of our courses. Honestly ah, initially i dun really feel comfortable studying with Leona cos I feel tat she always too gan chiong. but as time goes by, i tink she is really a very good fren to study together. she is ever willing to share her stuff. her anxiousness always make me gan chiong together. haha... i will really miss all her gan chiong actions. gonna miss her calling to me "Iris... Ze Me Ban?" gonna miss going to classes with her... gonna miss having lunch with her during break, gonna miss rushing to class after class with her... gonna miss doing grp assignments with her. haha... i nv tell her all these ah... i noe she will be reading my blog lah.. so here i am telling her all these "Leona, i nv tell u how much i felt for u as a fren cum coursemate. i guess without in studying with me, i probably miss out quite a lot of fun during my studies. deep down from the bottom of my heart, i will really miss u very much... & Thank u for everything during tis 1 and a half yr. u take good care of urself, k? u r a very clever girl, capable in everything u do & i am sure u will excel in ur own way! carry on ur good work! hopefully i will still cya in time in spore before u fly off to else where!" here u r... me and Leona, @ the airport...

Yummy Food & Movie Marathon.. tat's my holidays!!!

after the graduation yesterday, me and Huiying decided to go city and have dinner then maybe go for movie. then we met Wee Hong by chance in city so 3 of us decided to wait for Tess to finish work and go for movie, "Casino Royale"!

now in brissy, my clique of frens only left 4 of us liao. so muz xiang yi wei ming... soon we will be going back home too. muz enjoy tis last few weeks ah. nice food and movie marathon... tat's our holidays sia! we had the yummy deliciouse food at Satay House in city and watched 2 movie at one go at South Bank cinema.

Movie Review:
Charlotte's Web was a show with simple plot. kinda boring for Wee Hong but the rest of us still find it ok lah. Tess even cried lah cos rather touching towards the end. then 2nd show was Casino Royale, James Bond movie. tis is a very different Bond movie. a very very different James Bond who is more "human" and full of passion. at least now i noe James Bond can get injuries too, he is a human too. not exceptionally nice but we juz like it as it really gave us a very different feeling for a Bond movie...

Day 3 in Tasmania, Hobart!

haha... current location in Hobart now. after walking around the Salamanbca Saturday Market, i decided to come into an internet cafe for coffee while waiting for the time to go for my cycling tour at Mount Wellington. today's weather is damn cold lah... wind blowing strong, raining and is so cold... hands r freezing, legs r shaking but it will affect my day! cos i will be cycling later!!! down the beautiful mountain. woohoo~~!!!

yesterday i went to a day tour. i saw the spectecular view of Hobart. is simply amazing. i really love it here. there r mountains, rivers and more. is juz paradise. no wonder so many Australians choose to retire in Tasmania. it is very different from other states of Aussie. very diff lifestyles and pace of life. it had been really great experience for me so far. cos the environment juz brighten up my days every bit by bit. haha...

okok... i better get going to return to my backpackers to keep my stuff and get ready for my cycling tour later... i shall cya soon when i get back to Brissy in 3 days time! :D

Tasmania!!! woohoo~~!!! another abt 8 hrs i will b on the plane going towards Tasmania!!! yeahz yeahz!!! happy happy... looking forward with some sense of excitement and nervousness. excited as i wanna enjoy my well deserved break. nervous as i am all alone. whahaha... different experience... hopefully everything will be fine!!!

okok... i shall be off to bed now... if not i cannot wake up tomolo liao... heehee... back in abt 1 week's time! cya guys next week! stay tune for Tassie's wonderful scenic photos... yippee!!!

finally... relief & happiness...

at the strike of 12, i tried to log into my school SI-net system to check for my results. idiotic lah! cannot go in cos system is unavailable. which means too many pple accessing so jam up the system. i tried and tried but still in vain. then Leona came to ask me how was my results. how to ans her when i haven't view it leh? whahahaha... she lah.. make me gan chiong and keep walking up and down my room. even Tess oso got gan chiong by my actions. she is gan chiong abt how i fare, instead of worrying for her own results. whahaha...

so at abt 12.45am, we decided to try again. finally! we got in... yeahz!!! so slowly we went into the studies report to view our results. is like relieving TOTO results. one by oney scroll down to see. whahaha... to my greatest surprise, results was kinda up to my expectations but i din expect some part of it. no matter what my results r, i am very contented and happy abt it. at least my effort paid off and i can face myself happily for tis holidays! yeahz!!! i am really relieved now!!! i can really relaxed. honestly, i really had a hard time struggling for tis sem. i am so so glad is over now and i really very very happy tat i act manage to survive till now. extra workload and with so many other commitments, i am glad tat i made it!

since i made it thru tis sem and working towards my last sem now... i shall say thank u to many pple 1st. my beloved family, my spice buddies, all my other friends in spore now and frens in aussie now... THANK U very very much for all the support, encouragement, care, concern, love and warmth! i will work even harder for next sem to repay all these. oso i wanna thank myself for surviving thru. heehee... i torture myself for 2 sem here, i really need give myself a good break before i chiong for last sem! oh ya! forget to thank one more person. tis person really supported me thru out. always ready to show me the real care and concern whenever i realy need. no matter watever it is, i juz wana say THANK U to tis person... :D

okok.. off to bed now. need to work and i will be off to TAsmania on tis thurs. heehee... back on next tues. yeahz!!! i can go with a peaceful and relieve mind. woohoo~~!!!

"Weishan Jie Jie" really sounded full of WARMTH...

"Weishan Jie Jie"!!! whahaha... tat was wat my lovely cousin, Wei Zhi shouted into the mic when i was using webcam with my family earlier tis afternoon.

there was a mini family gathering at my cousin's new house as it is Baby Lynnette's 1st month birthday this coming Thursday. so they had a small celebration and i "participated" in the celebration! heehee... i went out early in the morning with my housemate, Tess to buy things and rushed home at abt 3pm (Aussie time) as my aunt told me they will gather at my cousin's place at abt 1pm (spore time). so when i reached home at abt 4pm, I keep waiting for my bro to online so that i can use my webcam with them.

finally at abt 5pm (aussie time), my bro online. heehee... i saw my grandma, parents, bro, aunties, uncle, cousins and nieces & all the lovely food. there r home cooked curry, traditional hakka dishes "Abacus Seed"... arghh~~!!! as usual, they always use food to tempt me ah! but nvm, i will be able to taste all these good food soon. heehee...

of cos i saw the main character of the day! my lovely niece, Baby Lynnette. she so smart lah, when pple carried her near the webcam, she quickly opened her eyes. heehee... clever girl ah! and she look so alike to her father. whahaha... then my cousin showed me all the photos taken ever since Baby Lynnette was born. hmm... guess becos tis is 1st child for them, they took so many photos lah. is like almost every day one photo ah. whahaha... but good tat they take ah. i can slowly enjoy bit by bit when i get back ah. heehee... then i oso saw my eldest niece, Baby Joyce. heehee.. she so tall liao. wow... she was playing "fishing" with my grandma. whahaha... grandma so happy lah cos tat is her great grand daughter wor... woohoo~~!!!

i will never forget my impt grp of angels... yes! my 3 lovely cousins. Weiqi, Wei Hui and Wei Zhi. whahaha... Weiqi as usual, always interested in my soft toys. Wei Hui is still so stubborn. ask her speak to the mic, she juz wun do it. haha... as for WeiZhi, he lost 2 of his teeth. yeahz... the front upper 2 teeth. whahaha... but he is still so handsome, my handsome little prince. :D miss them so so much... but i noe soon i will see them liao!!!! yeahz!!!

is great to tok to my family, see them over the webcam is exceptionally warmth ah. let them see me so tat they know i am safe and sound. we can still argue over webcam. whahaha... glad to noe tat everyone back home r fine and good! i will be back with them soon. shall cook a good meal for my beloved family when i get back. heehee... at the same time, muz have lots of fun with my cousins and nieces. yeahz!!!

sidenote: 2 more days to release of examz results. start to get a bit gan cheong liao. then day after release of result, i will be off to Tasmania! hopefully i will have a pleasant trip to Tasmania! yep yep!!!

juz now i called home. my cousin is organising a 1st month old birthday celebration for Baby Lynnette tis sunday ah. haiz... guess i miss it again. and my pressie will be belated liao. but nvm ah... i still can send my wishes mentally. my aunt said they will try fix the web cam, hopefully i can see all of them ah! yeahz!!!

my aunt oso told me alot abt my cousins. whaha... i really missed out alot. alot of their funny and interesting stories. haiz... i really miss them so so much lah. very attached to my cousins as i had always been part of their growing up since they r born. anyway, nvm...i will see them really very soon liao. my cousins, my nieces and everyone in the family! yeahz!!! heehee... tis time round my parcel for home is for the babies, not my cousins. they will sure kua kua jiao said i bias liao. whahaha... okok... muz go search for xmas pressie for these 3 "monsters" liao. my beloved "monsters"... whahaha...

oh ya... side note again... today when i went to buy the pressie, as i was queuing up to pay money. guess wat happen? the lady in front of me tot i was buying all the clothes for MY daughter ah. argh~!!! i look like young mummy meh? then when i was choosing the clothes ( i spent abt 1 hr at the kids and babies' dept lah), i saw so many families with daddy and mummy or mummy choosing clothes for the little ones. then at a moment, i was choosing the clothes from the same rack with 2 other mothers whose kids r juz next to them. whahaha... i really tot i was a young mummy too liao... :P

our favourite of the day... EGG TARTS!!! freshly out from the oven. still warm when we eat lah... All thanks to Wanqi who rushed to the trolley and get it from the waitress. whahaha... if not we will not get it lor...

so here i am... being the Spokeswoman for EGG TART (as wat Wanqi and Huiying said, i looked as if i am promoting the EGG TART lah).

Halfway thru, we decided to take photos again... heehee... as Huiying and Wanqi very pissed off lah... their shopping spree din end up to be a good one. each of them only bought a pair of shoes each (same one somemore... faint ah~). Fion is our biggest winner lor... bought so many things. whahaha... me ah? dun have ah.. cos i wanna save $$$ for my Tasmania trip! yeahz!!!
