break week is over!!! see wat i have done over the past one week?

- Road Trip to Sunshine Coast & Byron Bay
- Mooncake Festival Celebration
- Making Hakka Abacus Seed

gosh... none of it is related to studies! tis is the most slacking break week i ever had when i am suppose to work hard to finish my assignment before next week and start on my thesis. i am so so behind time now and how am i going to finish my report before the due date. i wan to finish it way before time so tat i can join my angels when they r here! my cousins angels r coming from 12 oct to 17 oct. they are going to gold coast. i have a report due on the 15 oct. i need to get it out of my way so tat i can join my angels in gold coast for tat few days.

"pls pls! dun slack anymore. u have more than u expect to do. in fact u have alot alot to do!!! break week is over, means all FUN has to stop. go back to ur studies and get serious in it! skip ur sleep or watever u oso muz get tings done, pls!!!! Ms Iris Lim, pls get back to ur study mode!!!!"

okok... i shall aim to finish my report by next week end and i can start on my thesis and enjoy myself with my angels when they r here! i promise to be diligent!!!

2 days of food & more food!!!

finally... i cooked the mee siam. heehee... it do look kinda good... but becos the gravy soup is not enough so we had mee siam tat is kinda dry ah... hahaha... but i still tink the mee siam is good! yeahz!!! happy and satisfied as when i dun feel like studying, cooking is the best way out!

this 2 days of cooking and eating, eating and cook was really very 爽... dun need to care abt assignments, dun need to bother abt anything. juz bury myself in the kitchen preparing food and enjoying them after tat. hahaha...

Saturday Dinner - Hakka Abacus Seeds

my 2nd time cooking this dish in Brisbane... yeahz... tis time round, it was more successful as maybe i managed to "hire" 2 helpers. hahaha...

whahaha... we din expect the abacus seeds to love each other so much to stick on together... so we had to separate them 1 by 1...

Mooncake Festival Celebration 2007

Is Mooncake Festival on Tuesday! Happy Belated Mooncake Festival to all!!! well, after the road trip, is non-stop action again to celebrate mooncake festival. 1st part of celebration was @ Freestyle Dessert Cafe with my campus lodge housemates, Cindy, Grace & Francester... It was a peaceful afternoon when we went and I was really amazed the different standard and presentation of cakes they have during different hour of business. after a few visits, i honestly feel that the cakes are presented in a nicer way during the afternoon non-peak hours. look @ the photos for evidence...

New York Baked Cheesecake that dun taste like baked cheesecake though... hahaha...

White Chocolate Cheesecake... is in round shape, previously when i went, it was triangle-sliced shape... i like tis presentation better though as it look very different.


my all time fav, Flourless Chocolate Cake... but tis cake is oval shape and presented in a long plate... different feel and i like it too!

Part 2 of Mooncake Festival was spent with Fiona, Charlotte, Philip and Isaac in the evening @ Guyatt Park. We bought fire sparklers and mooncake, together with the lanterns which Pat sent to me last yr, we had a great and crazy nite at Guyatt Park. however, photos aren't tat marvellous as all faces r dark but still there r some nice ones. the videos even worse but those without faces can still be seen ah... hahaha...

it took us abt 1 hr to light up the lanterns ah... due to the failure of Isaac's lighter and running out of gas for Philip's stove lighter gun. hahaha...

Me & my lantern... it had been a long time since i hold on to a paper lantern to celebrate mooncake festival ah. i guess the last time when i did tis will b in pri sch when i was a kid. hahaha...

Byron Bay 1 Day Trip...

1 more day of extension for the car... so we shall go south of Brisbane then! woohoo~!!! 1 day trip top Byron Bay for sunrise... yet again for me & Isaac but is pretty new for Fiona, Philip & Charlotte.. anyway, sunrise is forever amazing so i dun mind more, pls! sunrise is the start of a brand new refreshing day... but in order to watch the lovely scene, there r some scarifices which needed to be done. we need to give up our precious sleep for the nite & set off at abt 11pm to go for supper before heading south for Byron Bay...

1st stop: Fu Yao Restaurant for midnite Dim Sum as supper...

we all have the craving for dim sum... so juz nice ah...

End of Byron Bay 1 Day Trip & end of the road trip for Mid Sem, Sep 2007!!!
