Movie Nite & Kayak Session...

Movie Nite

it had been a long long while since i write anything abt going out and have fun, rite? heehee... it was busy period previously mah. now still busy but we muz get some breather! so there we r, out for movie on a very relaxing Friday evening... as for the movie, dun really wanna mention as it is not my cup of tea. Resident Evil was the show we watched. mmm... it was a gory show and i dun really prefer tis kind of show la. but nevertheless, at least it was a movie for us to have an excuse to get out of the house to do something different (other than studies and more studies!).

of cos! is a time for me to take photos for my blog. blog is getting dull without the input of photos ah.. i muz activate the lively mood of my blog again with the photos!!! woohoo~!!!!

before movie, it was dinner time! dinner was at West End's Vietnamese restaurant. i am craving for beef noodles soup so had to suggest tis and i have a bunch of really good frens la. hahaha... no argument, no objections raised & there we r, at the Vietnamese restaurant ah! heehee... thanks, guys for not objecting my suggestion! i am not a person who like to eat beef but i still eat beef noodles soup... rarely though... so when i have craving, is an impromptu tingy... :D

before the food was served, let's have a photo taken! is the girls' power once again! woohoo~!!! there was a theme for the girls' clothings tonite... off shoulders, low cut... whahaha... did u all spot the main theme from these?

heehee... after dinner, it was desserts time! once again, "demanding" & "overbearing" Iris wanna eat CHOCOLATE CAKE!!! heehee... oh well, i had been missing my chocolate cake for weeks, so i muz get my "dosage" before i get "cranky" again. as labelled by them, i need my dosage of chocolate before my mood is affected and get cranky and anyhow "bite" pple again. there we are... off to Three Monkeys for some really yummy cakes before the start of the movie... woohoo~!!!

Huiying once said desserts r best frens of girls and when girls r in sad mood, desserts r the best to cheer them up. hahaha... i totally agree with her & tat is y i can clique off well with her cos she is my faithful dessert khaki! **Huiying, i miss u ah!!! i really love tis very very much!!! is very rich in chocolate yet the mixture of sponge and chocolate in between neturalise the richness. for me, tis is juz nice. probably the rest dun tink so ah... ahahaha...

i like the cone shaped chocolate, is pretty interesting. but tis mud cake had trace of dark chocolate so the chocolate tasted a bit bitter. however, no matter wat, it is still yummy! yeahz!!!

not really my type of cake but still muz try for something different before they start to complain tat i am always overbearing and demanding... hahaha...

well, chocoholic i am, i agree and dun deny tis fact. chocolate really make me happy and contented. chocolate really calm me down and juz create happiness for me. i was TOTALLY satisfied last nite with the very very RICH chocolate intake after finishing the cakes. i noe i am very easily contented with chocolate and tat is y Huiying & Tess always teased me by saying "when Iris' bf wanna propose to her next time, it is very convenient and economy. she dun need diamond ring. all she need is a Chocolate Mud Cake!" hahaha... thanks for tat, girls!

Kayak Session

a nite of fun and laughter ended... let's welcome a brand new day with some exercise! early in the morning, Fiona, Joyce, Philip, Isaac & I went to the UQ Canoe Club to join them for their leisure kayaking session. it was my 1st time kayaking though i tried canoing in Spore before. i have phobia before i went. i am juz so scared tat the kayak will capsize. when i canoing previously, i capsized once and as i tried to swim above water, i knocked against the canoe tat was floating and it was really horrible to be "hit" back into the water by the canoe.

however, today's experience was SHIOK! woohoo~!!! sun was great & weather was good. had a breezy morning to kayak along Brisbane River. my kayak juz can't really go straight at 1st and i knocked into the trees. haha... but it was really lots of FUN!!!

what is the real meaning of "Airport"?

"Airport, juz wat does tis place really mean to u?"

to me, other than having my favourite mode of transport, Aeroplanes and my dream job, Pilots... Airport is a place FULL of Happiness, Excitement, Anticipation and Warmth.

go to the Departure Hall, u will see Anticipation and Warmth.

the Warmth is when u see many pple making their way to the airport to specially send their loved ones off. for example: the heart warming scene when we students came over to Aussie to study for the 1st time. din our family and frens went to the airport and bid us goodbye? wasn't tat scene heart warming with lots of best wishes and huggies? :D

Anticipation comes in when u noe tis time round of saying goodbye is not forever. u look forward to meeting the other party eventually. u bid goodbye to go on to another part of ur journey but after a while, u will still meet up with ur loved ones whom u once said goodbye to, rite? for me, when i say goodbye to my cousins today, i noe i will see them in 4 mths time. when i said goodbye to frens at the airport, i do look forward to the day when i will meet up with them again. no matter where we r, i juz noe we will meet up again. tat is the anticipation in my heart... & a fren once told me tis which i tink is rather meaningful. "A goodbye isn't painful unless you're never going to say hello again". (fren, rem tis quote? i hope u really meant by wat u said, k? dun juz say say only hor...)

upon reaching the arrival hall, u will see heaps of Excitement and Happiness!

the return of long awaiting loved ones from overseas... u will see tears of happiness and hug of blessedness. the level of excitement is not wat we can really imagine and the amt of happiness is beyond any words of description. dun tink someone is a frequent traveller and so he/she will not look forward to someone picking him/her up at the airport. juz imagine he/she is away from home for a few weeks or few mths. upon returning, who does he/she look forward to meet up with? it is the sense of "welcome back" tat make one feel most contented when he/she is being picked up by the loved ones. when tat really happens, excitement, happiness and surprises r all beyond wat we can describe with words...

so isn't airport a place full of miracle? it can create so many different emotions and it can bring abt so many different feelings.

GoodBye..

today my lecturer for the Business Research class was "kind" enough to let us off earlier after torturing with the 50% assignment due on Monday. the report tat took away my sleep, my calmness, the report tat added whole lots of crankiness and unstable condition me to for the past 2 weeks... argh~!!! hahaha...

anyway, today my cousins will go back to spore after their 6 days in Brisbane/Gold Coast. so i tot i can't send them off since i have class till 12pm. to my greatest surprise, my class ended at abt 1045pm. so i ran to the computer lab and check for the timing for the airtrain to airport. then i ran to the bus stop to take the next available bus to the train station to catch the airtrain. tat was when "Ms Sotong Lim" is revived again! i actually left my writing pad in the computer lab when i used it as mouse pad. aiyoooo... trying to reach for whoever i can tink of will be in uni to check for me. Philip went and check it out for me but can't find. so i had to go back myself and finally "claim" it back from some guys who r using it happily as the mouse pad. so paiseh la... quickly ran out of the lab once i got it back ah! aiyooo... spoil image sia... Ms Sotong Lim ah...

okok... back to airport farewell. my cousins were surprise to see me there. and kept asking y i can send them off, dun i have class? hahaha... of cos i have class! but for their sake, i muz rush down and bid them Goodbye ah!! they told me they saw dolphins and tried to feed the dolphins. it was rather good experience, i guess. then they tried sandboarding. hahaha... guess wat reaction they had? Weiqi said "i only tried once.. haha.." Wei Hui said "i dun like it! i had sand all over my face.. eyes, nose, ears and mouth!" Wei Zhi said "yeahz!" very different reaction but i guess they muz had great fun la... bought so many things from DFO wor... well, seeing them leaving make my heart ache... it hurts and is painful. imagine u have to bid goodbye to ur loved ones. but i noe is juz a short while. in few mths time, i will see them again, wun i? heehee... as i "hang" myself at the railing to say Goodbye to them, i had tis sudden thot. i remembered tat i said before "y muz i always be the one sending pple off from the airport?" yes! at the very same spot, i bid many pple goodbye. tat includes my family, my cousins, my 2 buddies from Aussie and many other frens whom i noe in Aussie. haiz... there r more to come and more heart ache to come too... still can't run away from the fact tat i have to bid pple goodbye again and again... aiyoooo...

then a 2nd tot came to my mind as i saw pple around me saying Goodbye to their loved ones. which i will elaborate more in next entry.. too long liao ah..

today's dinner very healthy wor... is Corn Soup! "when Iris is not feeling too well, Iris will wanna eat alot or dun eat much. tis time round, i wanna eat alot but i can't eat all tat i am going to cook so i had to eat much less. then i decided to be healthy! heehee... corn soup with carrots, vege and chicken. juz soup alone as i need to "return" all the water tat i lost over the last few days. i was dehydrated, i guess. which make me fell sick for past few days. haiz.... intake of lots of healthy food from now on to build up my body system again before it fail really badly ah...

arrival of my angels...

this is the PSLE marking period, hence my cousins, Weiqi, Wei Hui & Wei Zhi had a short holidays to spare. & i am very glad that they decided to make their way to Brisbane and Gold Coast. I miss them very very much and I am very happy and contented that I can be with them for these few days. It was short gathering for us, but i am satisfied and contented. I cannot describe how much I miss the kids. it had been a very long while since i last saw them. when i got the news that i will be seeing them, i was so so thrilled. knowing tat i had an assignment to submit, i still look forward to spending precious moments with them. i noe all i can ask for is to be able to see them, play with them, hear their voice and be with them. even is for a short period, i am feeling very contented.

On Saturday morning, i made my way to Movieworld @ Gold Coast early in the morning. Their flight arrived early in the morning and they made their way to Movieworld as their 1st stop. So as i approached Movieworld, my heart was pumping very fast. I did not look around as I walked into Movieworld. My mind is juz abt "where are my kids?", "will they recognise me?", "i juz wanna meet up with them ASAP!". so finally i saw them! i walked to Weiqi and she commented "look! whose tat in the sunglasses! hahaha... is Weishan Jie Jie!!!" GOOD tat she din forget me! then i walked over to Wei Hui and Wei Zhi. Hui Hui shouted my name "Weishan Jie Jie" while Zhi Zhi juz stared at me for a moment and then shouted my name too. hahaha... i knew for tat moment, he forgotten what my name was. haiz... but after a while, he was warmed up and we had crazy moments. heehee...

We took the Scooby-Doo ride as it was more acceptable for the kids. I sat with Weiqi and at 1st we were just screaming for sake of screaming. but as we approached the top of the roller coaster, it was total darkness and i noe my girl was really terrified. she held on to my arms and practically wrap her arms across mine. we continued our screaming and the whole journey down was really FUN and exciting. hahaha...

We went for some Shrek 4-D movie and musical play as my cousins are very much into Shrek's movie. then after lunch, we watched the parade of various Warner Bros' cartoon characters. before going off, Maichi (my cousins' maid) & I decided to try the thrilling rides. my eldest cousin, Weiqi juz refused to join us so we had to go on our own. heehee... thank goodness Maichi was there. as if i was alone, i guess i will not really go for the rides. :D it was good experience as the rides were rather FUN, thrilling and exciting. to me, my personal favourite was Lethal Weapon. however, i would love to try the Superman ride which was not in operation that day. a pity ah... but nvm lah...


the day @ Movieworld ended with lots of FUN, memories, laughter and joy. i tot i could join them for a nite stay at Gold Coast but becos i need to get back to Brisbane to do my work, so i juz had to forgo the chance to have more time spent with my kids. mmm...

Day @ Movieworld ended... & i followed them back to their hotel @ Courtyard Marriott, Gold Coast. rite smap @ the center area of Surfers Paradise, the view is jus marvellous from the top floor apartment... tot i could spent a nite with the kids.. well, i have to realistic. i need to go home and finish up my work so there i was, leaving the hotel unwilling to head back to Brisbane. it was a 2hrs ride home on Bus, train, bus... haiz... BUT all is worth it! as it had been a long long while since i last had so much fun with my cousins. i wonder when will be the next time round tat we can go out and enjoy again...

oh ya... while i was chatting with Maichi. she told me tat back home, those new maids @ my cousins' grandma's house were very envy abt Maichi. they were saying tat Weiqi is a very sensible girl and Maichi is very lucky to be able to take care of her. Weiqi does not have tat "master & maid" attitude and whatever she can do by herself, she will do it. when i heard all these praises abt my girl, i was very very happy and i felt extremely proud being her cousin. i noe tat tis cousin of mine is a very sensible, obedient and friendly girl. by nature, she is very kind hearted and she is always tinking for others. tat is y Maichi said tat in the house, the other maids can get along well with her as she treat everyone with respect. with all these, i certainly hope tat my girl will bring on these virtues as she grow up along her way. going on to sec sch next year, i noe she is not the smartest kid but she is definitely the most loveable kid... i am very proud of my cousin! Way to go, Weiqi!!!

Following on... my uncle decided to travel up to Brisbane for a day instead of going to the Tropical Fruit Farm. so there i was waiting for them to arrive in Brisbane and so tat i can spent a fruitful day with them. most photos r not with me so i cannot update all for now. let me juz share wat i have with me.

the day started when they arrived from Gold Coast at abt 11am. i met them at Central Railway station and the kids were feeling hungry so we had some snacks @ Macdonald. then we proceeded on to walk along Brisbane's main street of shopping. i guess the train ride made them very tired. Weiqi keep asking me "when are we going to ur house?" haha... yes! yes! soon... i took them to the City cat ferry terminal at North Quay. there Weizhi shouted out "CityCat" as the ferry came by. we boarded the city cat and i was explaining abt how city cat function as public transport for pple living in Brisbane and how it became unofficial tourist attraction when the city cat tour along brisbane river is a good way to spend almost half a day.. heehee...

anyway, we headed to UQ and my task was to bring them around and show them my campus. it was a very HOT day so before they dehydrate, i better proceed on to my house and let them rest for a while before lunch. when they came to my apartment, Weiqi saw my Bee Bee and she was quite excited ah. she held on to Bee Bee and started to examine her. then she said "how i miss Bee Bee ah... i am bringing her back to Spore." hahaha... do u noe how smart tis girl was? she noe tat Bee Bee is my dearest soft toy. so there was once, she actually "threaten" me with Bee Bee. i did not want to give her something tat she yearned for so she actually took my Bee Bee and held it outside the window. she tried to threaten me to give in, if not... Bee Bee will be flying rabbit. smart girl, rite? but she juz did tat for fun cos eventually she did not fight till the end. i still din give her wat she wanna. hahaha... anyway, it was really funny on how a 21yrs old girl and a 10yrs old girl fight over something using a rabbit as a bait. tat was 2 yrs ago btw...

back to now, after tour around uni, we went to Cyber city for lunch. hahaha... before lunch, we had a round of "arcade" games! well, i am never good at these arcade games. i was trying to entertain Weiqi by playing with her. hahaha... true enough, i was 1st to KO. she is good in these games la... juz tat we r all hungry so we got to make her game KO fast! heehee...

Angel 1 - Lim Wei Zhi (8 years old)

He is a very cheeky and smart boy. hyperactive boy who can't keep still and will always be on my nerves. he will try to irritate me as i always like to irritate him. hahaha... an eye for an eye ah... can see tat he grow up alot... i mean kids really grow so fast. 1 year ago when i saw him, he looks different from tis time round. mmm... i juz pray tat he will rem my name when i go back for hols next year ah. "Wei Zhi, my name is Weishan Jie-jie hor..."

Angel 2 - Lim Weiqi (12 years old)

I am closest to her as i took care of her since she was young. we managed to spend alot of times going out together and having fun together as when she was young, i was still in sec sch. not much commitment in sch or anywhere else so all my free time was spent with her. now tat we grew up, we r busy but we r still very close. she will still be eager to tell me abt her stuff and abt her opinions. as wat i said earlier, i am very proud of tis cousin of mine. i believe with her good nature, she will be well appreciated by pple in future from everywhere. going to sec sch next year, i'm sure she will have heaps of fun! hahaha... i am waiting patiently for her stories... heehee... "Qiqi ah... u make me feel extremely good to be ur cousin..."

Angel 3 - Lim Wei Hui (10 years old)

very very stubborn girl who has her own set of tinking and juz refuses to give in. however, her attentiveness for watever she is doing is beyond wat i can imagine. if she like to do someting, she can be very focus. how i wish she can transform tis set of focus to her studies ah... hahaha... she is stubborn but same as her sister, she is a very kind hearted girl. we can see tat she cares alot for all her love ones. even when she always like to fight with her little brother, we can still see how she will dote on her brother and how she will make sure her brother has a fair share too. i'm waiting for her to grow up faster as i noe she will become a very pretty girl as she grow up for her features r rather sharp. heehee...

there u r, my 3 lovely angels... i am glad tat i managed to have a short moment spent with them. on thurs, they will be going back to Spore. & over these 2 days, i wun b meeting them as they r at Moreton Island now. no matter wat, i am juz grateful tat they r at least here. i noe i will miss them once they go back. yesterday at the farewell in the train, my eldest girl juz refused to look at me but when her Dad said tat i was really going off liao, she finally said bye bye and give me a very nice smile. at the tot of tis, make me feel like crying... cos i really miss the kids very much... i will look forward to going back to spore during chinese new year cos i wanna see them so so much!!!

haha... yesterday, i was rather sad to bid them goodbye. so i bought a 12-pack donuts from Dreamy Donut. hahaha... sound alot? no lor... give here, give there... all 12 donuts r gone! heehee...

I need to SLEEP!!!!

yippee!!! finally the torturing and horrifying assignment is OVER! i am done with this very time consuming assignment. on schedule, i have 1 final assignment before i start to prepare for the one and only FINAL examz!!!

anyway, @ tis moment i only have 1 thing on my mind tat i really yearn to do. i wanna SLEEP! i have not been sleeping for the past 1 week as in the amount of hours i clocked for my sleep is only abt 1 day sleep for the whole week. i seriously want to SLEEP! i juz want to concuss totally on bed and sleep for 1 day 1 nite! however the ONLY day which i can have a total concuss is on FRIDAY! gosh! today is MONDAY only!!! argh~!!!! i really need to sleep ah... haiz...

Then i have another essay due next next Sat. aiyoooo... how to rest well leh?

anyway, i shall heck care for all now. i shall have a great day out with my cousins today! awaiting their call now... so slow... aiyoooo... day running short!!!

The very Same Moment...

how can one's thinking be so similar to another person's @ the very same moment leh? hahaha... i had proven tat tis is very possible! i mean @ the very same moment, 2 pple can have the very same thinking and act in the very same way. 2 pple of very different nature...

ever since the day i met her, our actions, words and ideas had been on same frequency as in we can do the same ting, say the same ting @ the same moment. how creepy can tat get, rite? whahaha... and we can even dressed up in the same colour, bring the same bag on a day which we nv pre-arrange to do it at all. let me relate 2 incidents that happened recently which i can rem.

1st: we r suppose to go Cardio work out but we nv confirm the time or whatever on the nite before the actual day of work out. so on the very morning, i sent an sms to her. then juz as my sms was sent out, an sms came in. i still tot how come the reply came so fast. when i opened, guess wat... the msg read "yoohoo~! girl ah, are we going to cardio today?" and my msg to her read "ger ah, r we going to cardio today?" see wat i meant? we asked the same quest @ the SAME time!

2nd: i was having class in uni and she was studying in uni library. then she sms me in the morning to ask if i wanna meet for lunch. so i said okay. guess wat? when i saw her walking towards me, i saw a girl in white top and jeans, holding on to the Supre bag from Ekka. isn't tat my dressing at tat very moment too? a white polo tee, jeans and Supre bag... gosh~!!! we r dressed in the same way ah!!! hahaha...

is kinda creepy to have someone whose thinking is so similar to mine @ the very same moment. but is oso very funny la... whahaha... tis is seriously the 1st time i encounter such friend. i have frens who have very similar thinking as me but i nv encounter one who has the same tinking, actions, words and everything carried out with me at the SAME moment. haha... the issue here is SAME moment... woohoo~!!! we r not twins for sure cos we r very different in looks and nature but our thinking is juz so so same... creepy leh...

5 more days to the arrival of my angels...

Proudly Present to you... my angels in my life...

They are the ones who brighten up my days and bringing smile to my life. They are the ones who made me realised how lovable little children are. They are the ones who gave me the opportunity to practise my "motherly instincts". hahaha... They are the angels of my life... My lovely cousins, Weiqi, Wei Hui & Wei Zhi.

They will be here in Brisbane and Gold Coast over next weekend. I want to meet up with them as it had been about 8 long months since I last saw them. I really wanna hear them calling out to me. "Weishan Jie Jie" always sound extremely heart warming. imagine for a 12 years old girl to come up to me and gave me a "hug" upon seeing me after 1 year of away from Singapore and coming to ask me "when will i be back" on the day of departure to Brisbane in that disappointed face of hers... for a 10 years old girl to purposedly irritate me by blowing away my birthday candles and after that "sayang" me by giving a "peck" on my cheeks.... for a 8 years old boy to bring a piece of cookie to me, held my hand, wish me happy birthday and kiss my cheeks... all these r done abt 8 mths ago on my 23rd birthday.... i seriously miss them very much... i used to get to see them every weekend. but now i am missing out alot... haiz...

okok... is not time to get emotional... enough of whining and complaining... for now, i will work very hard over these few days as i wanna finish up my report by Friday so that I can join them in Gold Coast. My report is due on next Monday. if I would like to spend my weekend in Gold Coast with them, i guess i will just need to hurry and speed up my work pace within these few days. Gan-bat-te, Weishan!!!! U can do it!

a day when everything just goes wrong. even the simplest meaning i oso can't get it and i need to trouble someone else to explain. waking up early and i tot i can do more things. ended up i juz can't get the tings into my mind. so i decided to go and exercise my muscles and continue my work after that. it was useful initially but i still can't hang on till the end. over engrossed in something made me seems to disconnect from outside world. HP was ringing and yet i can just ignored. refusing to speak over the phone make me feel like a freak. just what is going on with me? am i over stressing myself unnecessarily?

that day i met Christina, my senior from NP. she is oso my senior in UQ. she completed her honours studies last year and currently working in UQ as a tutor and research assistant. as i was toking to her about my honours studies, i finally feel that my message was brought across and understood by someone. she told me when she was studying her honours, she told her groupmates up front that she is a honours student and she need to maintain her GPA so she dun allow any mistakes in any of her assignments. she is a perfectionist so i can understand her point in making her stand clearly at 1st. i am not really a perfectionist but i just want to score! before i took up the honours, pple had been telling me if u dun score for ur honours, ur honours is not going to worth anything. gosh~! do u noe how much pressure that is? facing myself every day in the mirror, i am constantly telling myself that "i can, i will and i need to survive!".

life is not only abt studies. there r many things that i shld care abt. however, at tis moment studies is all that i have. if i dun score well in tis, what else still matters? moreover, my current studies is a choice made out of my own will. if i cannot achieve something good out of something i am willing to do, then what am i still able to achieve? of cos i wun deny there are still many more tricky matters that are overwhelming at the same time. tat is wat life is all abt. if life can always be smooth sailing, no one will have problems.

i noe i can do it! i juz noe i can finish up watever i need to do. & i noe i can still have fun at the same time. all i need to give myself is time to think, space to breathe and confidence to strive again. i want to smile from the bottom of my heart again. it was fine for the past few mths and juz 2 more mths before my 1st half of honours' journey will be completed. i noe i can still smile along now till the end. i noe i can... Iris Lim's Kitchen...

a day when i wan to try to be creative. heehee... i had a bowl of rice leftover from yesterday's takeaway dinner. i could have just fried rice with it but i decided to practise my creativity... yet again. heehee... so with the rice, i added some luncheon meat (diced), mushroom (sliced), prawns (diced), cheese and cabbage. i buttered the rice and put it over a slice of cheese and then put all the ingredients into it and covered with 4 slices of cheese. hmmm... here is my ultimate product of Cheese-baked rice...

it look kinda weird hor... hahaha... i shld have leave it open up and bake it in the oven so tat my cheese can turn crispy. well, tis is the 1st attempt. i shall try it again when i have leftover rice again. heehee...

as compared, 2 days ago's dinner was when Iris decided NOT to be lazy and cook dishes for rice. it had been since 1 mth plus tat i eat rice at home. do u noe eating rice means i need to cook dishes and is juz so troublesome to cook for 1 person's share. and i am not a rice person. i prefer noodles to rice. anyway, my 2 dishes and 1 soup dinner... very homely feel leh... it looks like and it taste like too! i'm pretty sure... :D

(i miss drinking these kind of home-cooked soup so so much... tis is juz good enough to curb my craving for now, i miss my grandma's soup very very much!!!)

a day when Fiona wanna her cheesecake... when i wanna my chocolate cake... NONE of our wishes r fulfilled! tat is ultimate disappointment!!! anyway, still wanna share wat we had...

Philip's cake was some apple cake. i oso dunno wat is the actual name. hahaha... *phil, ur photo taking skill is not getting any better leh... u compare all 3 photos taken by fiona, u and char. see wat is the diff ah.*

haiz... today's cake eating session was a total failure. until i dun even rem the names ah... i still wanna my comfort food... i need it! i really need some comfort food to brace me thru the next week of torture in reading journals tat i dun enjoy. i need some brain stimulation session so tat i can finish tis report in time and able to do it well. if not, i will suffer very badly... pls pls.. i need some best wishes sia! haiz... currently i am not even half way thru the report when is due next next monday and my angels r coming next weekend. i wanna meet up with them so i need to get rid of my assignment by end of next sat. argh~!!! 1st time i do assignment do until so lack of morale and motivation. how come sia? juz wat is wrong with me???

is the once a year... Meet The Industry Leader Event... heehee... tis year is different as i am attending it as a student ambassador. sound like something great but is juz nutting much. my main task is to "take care" of the VIPs of the event. honestly, i am a lousy ambassador as i dunno how to be witty enough to create conversation with the VIPs. anyway, at the end of the day, i had some great benefits. collected the information i needed and gathered some useful advices. however, i juz dunno how to make the most out of such networking session. thank goodness tat my lecturers are around to assist me. if not, i guess i will still indulge in my own world. hahaha... aiyoooo... muz work on networking skill sia... damn lousy in tis area sia...

anyway, i wana ask a quest ah! do i look very different when i am in formal or business attire? how come i was by-passed by so many pple and they didn't recognise who i was. they had to stop and stare or tok to me before they realised... "ah... tis is Iris." mmmm.... weird...

okay... i am all tired now... was there at 330pm and only left the venue at abt 930pm. gosh... feet r almost torn apart. almost 6 hrs of standing and walking around on heels. aiyooooo... now i juz yearn for a nice and warm shower and head for my cosy bed sia... but i am juz too FULL to move. juz now i was hungry till near faint. now i am too FULL! hahaha... how amazing...

the yummy dinner & the beauty of nature...

"wat to eat for dinner?" question that will always pop out when i have no idea wat to cook or when my fridge is running empty... hahaha... today is 1 rare occassion whereby i have no idea of wat to cook and my fridge is rather empty. so i can only play around with watever i have... tis is my final product...

oven-baked chicken drumsticks and potato wedges with pasta & carrots... covered with chicken sage and onion sauce... a bit overcrowding of sauce ah... hahaha... but overall still not tat bad. din noe tat pasta can taste yummy with such sauces...

then i rem tat mins before i was cooking dinner, Grace ran out of the house with camera and came back to show me something lovely. the sky is so so lovely outside in the evening time and it was all captured on Grace's camera. so i juz took some of the photos she took to share them here... is really very lovely and peaceful scene... heehee... now then i noe tat Grace is also someone who love to take all these natural settings of photos. good! good! here u r... the lovely Tuesday evening outside Campus Lodge:
