Together with my grand-uncle, grand-aunt, aunts and uncle, we went to try out the LARGEST Observation Wheel in the world, The Singapore Flyer! few months back, there was a promotion for NTUC union members in which they can buy the Singapore Flyer's ticket @ half price... wooo... how nice it is, rite? hahaha... so my Mum bought the tickets for the family and distributed to those who are keen to go for the ride. & after much coordination and discussion, we decided to go for the ride today.
with the ticket, we were entitled to a complimentary river taxi ride from Clarke Quay to the Singapore Flyer. tis allow us to enjoy the scenary along Singapore River. for my grand-uncle, grand-aunt, aunts and uncle, is like a walk down memory lane. for me, is like going through my history and social studies lessons once again. along the river ride, i took quite a number of photos. the very 1st time i am taking touristic photos along Singapore River... hahaha... i tink i took more photos as compared to the tourists onboard the boat. well, i guess on normal days, when i walked pass the buildings along the river, i will not really take a good look @ them. so tis is a good opportunity for me to capture the scene which i have been ignoring all these while. :)

after the river ride, we arrived at the Singapore Flyer way before our boarding time at 530pm. so we walked around the compound and took our very late lunch before making our way to "fly" in the capsule... while walking along the Yakut Discovery Walk (sponsored by Yakut, i guess), we saw some pretty interesting looking leaves and plants.

nice experience taking the Singapore Flyer... by far, this is the largest observation wheel in the world. soon there r other countries who will overtake this record but for now, let us juz enjoy the glory of being the world largest. for tourists, this observation wheel is a good way to enjoy Singapore's skyline and surrounding scenary from a bird's eye view. for locals, tis could be another local attraction to go to. maybe with the slightly steep pricing, once in a lifetime experience shld be quite good. as for the facilities and amenities @ the singapore flyer, everything is quite nicely done but of cos, i tink there are always room for improvement to make the place more attractive to visit.
