Day 1 to 3 - Arrival and touring around Fremantle city..

woooo... updates! updates! before overflooding of photos ah... let me start off with my Perth trip after exam. these few entries are oso specially dedicated to Shupei! "hey ger, bet u miss Perth very much ah... let me bring u down the memory lane with these few entries.. hope u like it... xmas pressie la! hahaha..."

my Perth trip is for abt 1 week. from 22 Nov to 29 Nov. before i board the plane at Brisbane, someone called me and tot tat i was in Perth already. he wanna meet up with me... whahhaa... tat is none other than Mr Chen Chien Yuan la... well, he muz be studying for exam until forget when was my arrival date. anyway, upon arrival into Perth on 22 Nov nite, is already passed 12midnite. checked into YHA Perth City, i quickly went to bed so that i can wake up early to proceed on to Fremantle to spend a few days there.

Day 2 - Fremantle

after checking into YHA Fremantle, i went around the area. went to Fremantle market. quite a big one but of cos as compared, Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne is still bigger and the outdoor Salamanbca Market in Tasmania is much bigger too. but tis is good enough as there r so many things to see and buy. whahaha...

Fremantle Market on a Friday. is a weekend market so is only open from fri to sun. large variety of items...

not as big as Fremantle Market and it has the indoor shopping centre feel.. a bit like Spore's Bugis street shopping..

Day 3 - Fremantle City Tour (on foot on my own...)

Fremantle Railway Station.. where i got off the train after spending abt 20mins taking the train from Perth City...

see the black cat sign? the best part of the transportation system in Perth which i like very much. CAT means central area transit. both in Fremantle and Perth city, there r such services. it is a FREE service!! from area to area, instead of walking or take public transport, CAT is a very very accessible way to get around the city. for budget travellers like me, such FREE service is the best! whahaha...

some prisoners attempted suicide by jumping down from the top level. so the net act as safety net to prevent anyone from jumping down...

shattered glass bottles and pieces of glass placed on top of the wall surrounding the prison ground. these glasses are used to prevent any prisoners from escaping by climbing out...

a bed and a bucket.. how the interior of the cell looks like... the bucket is for the prisoners to use as toilet. can u imagine how disgusting it will be when the bucket is FULL? such poor sanitation is the main reason y the prison is closed down...

punishment area... the prisoner will be hanged upside down and kanna whipped on the backside. whipped until the flesh can be seen and salt will be rubbed on the wound. cruel as it sound.. i cannot imagine the actual scene ah..

Goodbye.. once again..

i tried to blog yesterday but i did not noe wat to write about. feelings, memories and images kept running thru my mind. all i did was to watch TVB series for the whole day. i juz wan to run away from reality for a moment and indulged in my own world. today i am much better and stable. able to blog properly.

yes.. yesterday was goodbye.. once again.. goodbye to who leh? mmm.. goodbye to Fiona lor, my les partner. hahaha... din manage to send her off as i was moving house. haiz... i wanna be there to give her a BIG hug before she goes off. well, so much to tell her yet so little time to say any. i guess i can only post it here then.

while studying in Australia, i found 3 close buddies. to me, they r juz like my sisters. needless to say, 2 of them r Huiying and Tess, my housemates for 2 yrs. without them, i guess my life in Aussie probably wun be so colourful and exciting. as for the other sister, she is none other than Fiona Tan.

to Fiona: thanks for being here all these while when i need someone to tok to. i tink we had fun irritating one another. hahaha... who will be tat crazy to take a bus with me to Sunnybank which is about 3 zones or 1.5 hrs away to eat beef noodles leh? who will dress in the same colour, carry the same bag and do the same action as me at times leh? well... i guess u shld have the ans la. hahaha... i really treasure the frenship we had for the past 2.5 yrs. no matter what happen, u r my fren and u will be my fren forever. take good care back home. when i get back, u better spare some time to meet me ah.. if not ur Ah Ma, me... will "hunt" u down! hahaha... okok lah, dun get emo here liao. all the best and have fun back home! try to tempt me with local delights la... then i can tempt u with some yummilicious desserts which u like. heehee...

okok... i shall go and cook my dinner liao... finally back in Campus Lodge... can cook dinner ah!!! woohoo~!!!!

today...

time passed by really fast.. juz abt 1 week ago i posted an entry to tok abt having Jasmin's company in Brisbane and we were having fun at Gold Coast during then. today, she left Brisbane and went back to Spore as her holidays ended. with her leaving, the sudden feel of lost is conquering my mind. we wanna have a good long hrs chat till dawn last nite but silly me actually felt asleep. tis morning i woke up at 6am and we went out for a sumptous breakfast. it is the best breakfast i ever had for the past 2 weeks. i really cherished every moment with Jasmin and i am so glad tat at least for the last few moments, we created some fond memories of having a lovely breakfast. heehee... she did some of her last min shopping before we headed to the airport. waited for abt 2 hrs plus to her boarding time. before she board the plane, i gave her a BIG hug. with the watery eyes, i said GOODBYE to her. she asked me not to cry so tat she wun be influenced by me but i really cannot control myself. i knoe i can see her soon in spore but there are some feelings in my heart tat i juz cannot describe.

for the past few weeks, it had been a challenging period for me. at the moment when i needed someone close to me, someone whom i can trust without any worries, someone whom i can juz open up to, Jasmin was here in Brisbane. the joy and happiness with her around are beyond any description. the time spent with her over these 2 weeks had been very wonderful and precious. i muz really apologise to her for my unstable moods at times. i felt i did not do my very best to create the best holiday for her and i felt rather guilty abt it. i really really hope she had enjoyed herself. "dear sis, i read ur "starbucks" message. thank u very much for being here. i really really appreciate ur presence here. i really miss hanging out with u and the rest of the clique. somehow these 2 weeks served as a bonus for me. YES! we will soon have the gathering together.. NO more photos of me!!! is the REAL me!!! wait for me, k??? i will be BACK soon!!! miss ya and love ya..."

Jasmin arrived on 6 Dec nite and we came to Gold Coast for a short getaway of 3 days. heehee... having fun for the past few days with city tour and Lone Pine Santacuray. yeahz!!!! more fun to come... with a buddy by my side, things juz seems very different. we had alot of chatting moments and i am really glad she is here with me at tis moment.



1 more week to go to end of her trip. i shall try to make the best out for the remaining days for her here. i hope tis will be a wonderful holidays for her with me. heehee...

NON stop action & happening...

non stop action after i came back from Perth. currently, Jasmin is in Brisbane!!! woohoo~!!!! yippee!!! gonna have 2 weeks of FUN with here!!! yeahz!!!! anyway, had really been very very busy after my Perth trip. went for summer class and finished the whole course within 1 week. with 1 more essay to submit, tis course will be DONE! & my final course in UQ will be DONE! woohoo~!!! then Jasmin arrived on Thursday. heehe... tis few days oso very busy ah. bring here around, planning our itinerary. gonna be FUN & more FUN before i get started with my thesis and final essay...

day when i came back from Perth, i met up with the rest for dinner. is a tiring day but shall have fun 1st. rest can wait. hahaha... had dinner @ Sono Japanese Restaurant. rather exp but the food is not bad.

i do look very tired here after coming back for a week's trip. & i looked very TAN!!! totally sunburnt in Perth ah! (look out for Perth update..)

saying goodbye is never an easy job..

i shld be feeling happy and excited today for i am expecting Jasmin's arrival into Brisbane. i shld be feeling nervous today as one of my assignment for my summer class is due today. however, on top of all these feelings, i had one more feeling. i am feeling sad. sad cos another fren from uni had gone home today. bidding goodbye is always so so hard and those overwhelming effect of sadness will juz keep on invading the mind. half a yr ago, i said Goodbye to my 2 dearest buddies in UQ, Huiying & Tess. even when i noe there may be chance to meet up back home, the feeling is just so so different. from day one when i bid those frens who graduate and went home, i know very well abt tis fact. today is another round of tormenting bidding goodbye.

i guess the difference in bidding goodbye after uni studies here and bidding goodbye after studies back home is tat we all noe for the fact tat experiences we had here will not be the same feel as when we meet back home. tat is the most hurting part. for a sudden moment, i felt rather lost. cos tis cycle of bidding goodbye is not going to end here. i already prepared myself tat in tis summer, there will be 2 such sad moments. indeed, i was unable to hold back my sadness and i teared today. in abt 3 weeks time, i guess is the same again. i juz hate these moments. i hate saying goodbye but all these r part and parcel of life.. is juz unavoidable. and often is always the one who is being "left behind" will feel all these sadness the most.

i guess i juz have to pick myself up after all sadness. cos life still goes on.. :D need to get ready to pick jas up now.

belated entry since i was away in Perth... some updates before i went to Perth...

FEAST after exam!!!! woohoo~!!!! i decided to be hardworking & cook some yummy food for everyone to celebrate the end of examz... as well as to give my GRAD pressie for my 2 grad-to-be frens, Fiona & Isaac. heehee... however i tink i overcooked and there were leftovers. since the next day was our road trip to Mount Tamborine, i had to be very wasteful tis time and juz feed the dustbin with my yummy food. haiz... & Isaac oso made some delicious mango pudding as dessert for us! Thanks alot! is sweet and yummy!!! let's see wat's on the menu for the nite!

Dish 1: Soy Sauce Chicken.. my grandma's speciality.. i finally succeed!!! there is the "ah-ma" feel in tis dish finally! woohoo~!!! nv throw her face ah... :D

Dish 2: Sweet & Sour Pork.. a recipe which was my 1st try ohh.. shld be okay la.. will be better next time round. whahaha...

Dish 3: Cabbage, Chinese Mushroom & 东粉... "rojak" dish... ahhaha...

Dish 4: Tom Yum Seafood Soup... woooo... nice.... i miss soupy stuff. the tom yum paste is not bad. will try again next time round... tis pot is so BIG so i over estimated the amt of water. hahaha...

Dessert: Mango Pudding!!! wooo... sweet...
