Sunshine Swim cum Yummy Dinner

heehee... tis holidays is really wat i call "Enjoying"! yeahz!!! yesterday i went to Southbank for swimming with my housemates, Huiying and Wee Hong. It is a man-made beach in Brisbane, Brisbane only beach too. is like a big big swimming pool. alot of pple ah. as is now summer. many Aussie like to there for sun tan and enjoy the sunshine while relaxing. so 3 of us oso went to enjoy the sunshine. (until now my shoulders got sunburnt lah. whahaha...) of cos we took some photos lah... here u r...

After dinner, we took a train home. as all of us r so FULL. we din wanna sit down and wait patiently for half an hr for the train. we keep walked around the platform and take photos.... wind was blowing strongly so we enjoying taking photos with cold win blowing ah.. whahaha...

someting tat i saw on Ivy's & Lian's blog. hmm... seems tat many pple r carrying out the ever well-known and well-liked form of "retail therapy". whahaha... as for me, i oso did a round of retail therapy with my housemates before we all return to Spore and Malaysia respectively.

so off we went.. to the very popular and well-liked shopping paradise, Gold Coast's Harbour Town. is the home for many big and small factory outlets from sports brand to ladies' wear and men's wear. is juz the best shopping area for us students. whahahaha... although is a bit faraway ah. is abt 1 hr plus train ride from Brisbane. so before we start our journey, we took some photos of our excited and happy looks...

arrival @ Harbour Town @ abt 11am and we went for a quick brunch. then there we r, start to go around the different shops to see wat good bargain we can grab. honestly, i am not someone who is into shopping but when there is a need, i will still go around and buy stuff lah. my main motive tis time round is to get wat i need for CNY's new clothes and some gifts to bring home for my buddies in spore ah. hahaha... and tis yr end sales seems very horrible ah... everything really CHEAP! omg!!! Espirt had a really horrible sales with items selling at AUD$15 to $20 only. is really very very cheap ah!!! so there i am, bought a top for myself for only AUD$15 and a kid's top for my cousin for only AUD$8. there r more to go lor... in total i spent quite a lot ah.. heart and wallet very painful now.. hahaha... but at least i got quite a few items for myself as well as others. like wat someone say, in tis way i wun feel tat guilty for spending so much cos i din pamper myself only. haha... wat a way to console myself ah... :P anyway, here r part of our victory items...

heehee... today's entry is all abt food!!! yeahz!!! is a Gourment Outing for me, Huiying and Wee Hong. whahahaha...

our 1st stop is at Freestyle Tout Dessert Cafe. a well-known and popular dessert cafe serving delicious and yummy dessert. cakes, pudding, ice-cream, coffee, iced chocolate... u name it, they have it! before we went today, according to Jael, once u eat the dessert from Freestyle, u will cry... according to Leona, is a sure and MUZ go dessert cafe in Brissy. now according to me after I sample the yummy dessert from Freestyle... "u will simply melt with Freestyle Dessert after eating them..." i am not exaggrating ah!!! is really TRUE. have u eaten a chocolate fudge cake tat is flourless and still feel warm when u put in ur mouth? have u eaten a white cheese cake tat is as soft as beancurd? is all available @ Freestyle... :D

today i made another trip to Brisbane airport. but is not me who is going off. (argh~~!!! okok... i guarantee liao... next time when i go to airport, it is really me who is going home!!! airport is the nearest to our home in spore... so far, yet so near... haiz...)

anyway, today i am off to airport to send my 2 frens cum course mates, Leona and Grace. yeahz! both of them r fresh graduates from UQ. Congratulations, gals!!!

Leona had been my course mate for tis past 1 and a half yr. we r in same classes for almost all of our courses. Honestly ah, initially i dun really feel comfortable studying with Leona cos I feel tat she always too gan chiong. but as time goes by, i tink she is really a very good fren to study together. she is ever willing to share her stuff. her anxiousness always make me gan chiong together. haha... i will really miss all her gan chiong actions. gonna miss her calling to me "Iris... Ze Me Ban?" gonna miss going to classes with her... gonna miss having lunch with her during break, gonna miss rushing to class after class with her... gonna miss doing grp assignments with her. haha... i nv tell her all these ah... i noe she will be reading my blog lah.. so here i am telling her all these "Leona, i nv tell u how much i felt for u as a fren cum coursemate. i guess without in studying with me, i probably miss out quite a lot of fun during my studies. deep down from the bottom of my heart, i will really miss u very much... & Thank u for everything during tis 1 and a half yr. u take good care of urself, k? u r a very clever girl, capable in everything u do & i am sure u will excel in ur own way! carry on ur good work! hopefully i will still cya in time in spore before u fly off to else where!" here u r... me and Leona, @ the airport...

soon, i can start to countdown to the day to going home liao... but then no one seems to be interested in me going home lah... whahaha... idiotic jun lah... nv give reaction when hearing me wanna go home. *hmph* hahaa...

Yummy Food & Movie Marathon.. tat's my holidays!!!

after the graduation yesterday, me and Huiying decided to go city and have dinner then maybe go for movie. then we met Wee Hong by chance in city so 3 of us decided to wait for Tess to finish work and go for movie, "Casino Royale"!

now in brissy, my clique of frens only left 4 of us liao. so muz xiang yi wei ming... soon we will be going back home too. muz enjoy tis last few weeks ah. nice food and movie marathon... tat's our holidays sia! we had the yummy deliciouse food at Satay House in city and watched 2 movie at one go at South Bank cinema.

Movie Review:
Charlotte's Web was a show with simple plot. kinda boring for Wee Hong but the rest of us still find it ok lah. Tess even cried lah cos rather touching towards the end. then 2nd show was Casino Royale, James Bond movie. tis is a very different Bond movie. a very very different James Bond who is more "human" and full of passion. at least now i noe James Bond can get injuries too, he is a human too. not exceptionally nice but we juz like it as it really gave us a very different feeling for a Bond movie...

oh ya... since i have my camera with me after going to graduation, so we took quite a few photos along the way...

Day 3 in Tasmania, Hobart!

haha... current location in Hobart now. after walking around the Salamanbca Saturday Market, i decided to come into an internet cafe for coffee while waiting for the time to go for my cycling tour at Mount Wellington. today's weather is damn cold lah... wind blowing strong, raining and is so cold... hands r freezing, legs r shaking but it will affect my day! cos i will be cycling later!!! down the beautiful mountain. woohoo~~!!!

yesterday i went to a day tour. i saw the spectecular view of Hobart. is simply amazing. i really love it here. there r mountains, rivers and more. is juz paradise. no wonder so many Australians choose to retire in Tasmania. it is very different from other states of Aussie. very diff lifestyles and pace of life. it had been really great experience for me so far. cos the environment juz brighten up my days every bit by bit. haha...

okok... i better get going to return to my backpackers to keep my stuff and get ready for my cycling tour later... i shall cya soon when i get back to Brissy in 3 days time! :D
